Dystopia 03:04
Science fiction has come to pass, outlook is bleak and dire. There can never be any progress if we're fighting fire with fire. Dystopia, dystopia, dystopia, dystopia. The folks in power are crooked, they rationalize what they do. They say everyone else does it - yes, they're all crooked too. Dystopia, dystopia, dystopia, dystopia. Saving the human race didn't resonate well with the voters. Folks were more in tune with big time wrestling promoters. Dystopia, dystopia, dystopia, dystopia.

I don't see the point of taking a stand, don't see the point of lending them a hand. Don't see the point of getting them to reason, they seem just fine supporting acts of treason. Haters gonna hate, liars gonna lie. Their children are even worse, makes me wanna cry. I don't see the point of making a stink, don't see the point of trying to get them to think. Don't see the point of going to war, don't see the point of doing anything anymore. Haters gonna hate, liars gonna lie. Their children are even worse, makes me wanna cry. I don't want to fight, and that's just what they want. But perhaps I'll stand on the sidelines, and pester them with taunts. Haters gonna hate, liars gonna lie. Their children are even worse, makes me wanna cry.

While you were sleeping, somebody died. While you were laughing, somebody cried. And they may have been someone you knew. And they may have been thinking of you. Somebody, somewhere is out there too. While you are dying, someone is being born. While you are crying, someone is tooting their horn. And they may be somebody you know. While you say goodbye they say hello. Somebody, somewhere in the shadows.

I got a funny feeling things are going to hell, and probably the end of humanity as well. It was fun while it lasted on this crazy carousel, there'll be nothing left except the smell... of bombed out corpses and rotting horses. There'll be skeletons on porches and empty golf courses. I don't know whether to laugh or cry, don't look for explanation or ask why. It's no way to live, no way to die. Hey, it's no way to say goodbye... To all the loved ones, and breathing through lungs, and clinging to guns, and speaking in tongues. Got a madman in the oval office who lives in a reality show. He's got his fingers on the button, oh look out - it's about to blow.

Man, it's cold outside, Need to pack our gear and find our ride. Hope we don't leave anything behind, out of sight is out of mind. Well, it's time to hit the road, where we parked, it's lucky we didn't get towed. Lets drive south where it might be warmer - it's a crazy life being a performer. It's hard to get by in the gig economy sometimes it's just tips -it's the new policy. We'll do it all again in the next town, sing our songs and play our sound. Hope we don't encounter any turds, who ask again and again to play Freebird. Man, it's cold outside, Need to pack our gear and find our ride. Hope we don't leave anything behind, out of sight is out of mind.

I look out my front window - see some guys unload a moving van. A young woman is moving into the house - she's got big hair and a nice tan. Have you seen the lady across the street? She looks mighty fine, looks real sweet. Have you seen the lady across the street? I think she's someone I'd like to meet. She opens the blinds of her window, sometimes not wearing any clothes. She dances around her living room, then strikes a provocative pose. Have you seen the lady across the street? She looks mighty fine, looks real sweet. Have you seen the lady across the street? I think she's someone I'd like to meet. Along come folks strolling down the walk, a religious couple going door to door. They ring her bell, begin to chat, start to yell, then call her a whore. Have you seen the lady across the street? She looks mighty fine, looks real sweet. Have you seen the lady across the street? I think she's someone I'd like to meet. When it got darker, the religious man returned. Got inside, closed the blinds, I suspect foul play. Heard dogs barking, lamps were crashing. He left in a hurry, I'm a little worried, hope she's okay. Have you seen the lady across the street? She looks mighty fine, looks real sweet. Have you heard from the lady across the street? Haven't seen hide nor hair in over a week.

Don't you feel it, the end is almost here. Things are not going to be okay, everything has begun to decay. Don't you feel it, we are in a dark place. A place where no one hears the screams, a place where entropy reigns supreme. We will soon run out of scraps. The whole kit and caboodle will collapse. Don't you feel it, we're in disarray. We're not going to be 'just fine', everything is rapidly in decline. Don't you feel it, we have lost our way. But there is no turning back, the scene is quickly fading to black. things used to be good and plenty but now the glass is almost empty Don't you feel it, a hint of melancholy Everything is turning brown, things are really winding down.

I'm walking on eggshells, don't do nothing right. Keep making mistakes and I'm all uptight. You got me on a tight leash, you drag me around. I give you smiles, but you just return frowns. You're driving me crazy (driving me crazy). You're driving me crazy (driving me crazy). You got me going in circles, don't know what to do. You're driving me crazy. You wake me in the morning, tell me I'm a jerk. Make me fix you breakfast, then off I go to work. You say you need more money, so I take a second job. You complain I'm never around and you pretend to sob. You're driving me crazy (driving me crazy). You're driving me crazy (driving me crazy). You got me going in circles, don't know what to do. You're driving me crazy.

I'm kicking around our old stomping grounds, retracing my steps along the way. Somewhere buried in this lost and found, I'm smelling memories from the good old days. I can't seem to remember your face, can't seem to recall this place. My recollection is like a sieve, can't seem to remember how to live without you. There were amusement rides along the edge water, the Matterhorn and the Tilt-a-whirl. I was eating popcorn on the grand river, while you traveled in circles, now just a blur. I can't seem to remember your face, can't seem to recall this place. My recollection is like a sieve, can't seem to remember how to live without you. Even though it looks like I'm fine, I haven't been myself in a very long time. I'm adrift in an ocean, just going through the motions. I can't seem to remember your face, can't seem to recall this place. My recollection is like a sieve, can't seem to remember how to live without you.
